  • transmitted by inhaling dust that is contaminated with saliva, urine, or droppings from infected rodents

 

Symptoms:

  • symptoms are fever, muscle aches, vomiting, shortness of breath

 

Treatment:

  • no treatment

 

Control/Prevention:

  •  

 

Number of people infected each year:

  • 30 people infected yearly and 1 out of 3 cases are fatal
